Jenan's passion for all things written extends to her recent appointment as editor of Potatoes Australia, a R&D magazine aimed at the spuds end of the Primary Sector. She holds an Honours Degree in Communication from Monash University and a Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing from Chisholm Institute. She has a varied working life at the Fairfax organisation's metropolitan and community newspapers. Jenan's writing has appeared in The Age, the Dandenong Journal, Berwick and Pakenham Journal, Moreland Community Paper, The Acoustic Neuroma Association, the Doveton Eumemmering Community Letter, Monash University website, the Golden Lion Academy website and Blitz sports magazine. She has also written, produced and directed a Kung Fu stage show, which she describes as one of the most memorable (and hilarious) experiences of her life. Jenan dreams of being able to commit herself to full time fiction writing and has steadily been chipping away at a number of projects, although she finds that her biggest challenge is attempting poetry. |
