Vicki is a writer and performer, a founding member of the Lazy River Writers and a member of the Eastern Writers Group. Her credits include 3RRR, MDR, 3WBC, Channel 31’s Red Lobster, as well as performances at the Druin Ficifolia Festival, Montsalvat Poetry Festival, Babble, the Overload Poetry Festival, the Red Room and The Hut. She is a regular performer and sometimes MC at The Word Tree in Burrinja Café, Upwey.
She has a Diploma of Professional Children’s Writing and a Diploma of Arts in Professional Writing and Editing. In 2005 Vicki won the Herb Thomas Memorial Trust Award for Excellence for graduating students at Chisholm TAFE
Her poetry, articles and short stories have been published in a variety of publications including pendulum, Gardening Australia, tamba, divan, Woorilla, the mod_piece, Blue’s Country Magazine, The Aussie Post, That’s Life! Fast Fiction, Pearson Education, Slippery When Wet, Debriefed (e-zine), Page Seventeen, Polestar, Phaedra (USA), Grass Roots, Southern Ocean Review (NZ), New Writer Magazine, Poetrix, a cruelworld, Taj Mahal Review, Colcelebratory Shoehorn Review and Going Down Swinging.   
       
Her children’s book Whistler’s Mine is available from Nelson Thomson and Cinnamon and Spot, Who is Cinnamon Smith? and Cinnamon Finds a Sport are available from Oxford University Press.
In the past twelve months Vicki has had a poem commended in the Daffodil Day Awards, which toured as part of the exhibition, she also received 2nd prize in the prose category in the Banjo Paterson Writing Awards. She spoke at the Athenaeum Library regarding ‘work smart – how to be published’. One of her poems was recently awarded a commended in the open section of the Woorilla Literary Awards.

Her collection of short stories, The Last Days of Summer is now available from Ginninderra
